"Mrs. Krautmann grew to young womanhood in Loose Creek where she attended the schools and in 1902 she was united in marriage to C.H. Krautmann of Bonnots Mill. To them were born three sons and one daughter. Raymond and Edgar of Bonnots Mill; Mrs Marcella Mason of Kansas City; and Edwin who preceded his mother in death in 1914. In addition she is survived by her husband and one brother, Rudolph Heinen of Halbur, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Emile Nolte of Loose Creek, and Mrs. Ida Wegman who is the wife of L.J. Wegman former State Treasurer of the State of Iowa, and President of the Anamosa Bank at Anamosa, Iowa.

"Until her health began to fail about eight years ago, Mrs. Krautmann was very active in the management of their general merchandize business in Bonnots Mill, which she and her husband established many years ago, and still being operated by the family. Also she was a faithful and devoted member of the Bonnots Mill Catholic Church and the Married Womens Sodality of which she gave much of her time while she still enjoyed good health. During the last few years she had been bedfast the greater part of the time and suffered much which she bore with christian fortitude. She was lovingly cared for throughout her long illness by her husband who gave her everything that medical science could offer.

"Funeral services were held from the Morton Funeral Home to the Bonnots Mill Catholic Church Monday morning at 9 o'clock with the pastor Rev. Fred C. Eickhoff officiating. Burial will follow at Bonnots Mill."
